An LGBT legal organization in the Philippines composed of diverse groups of gay and lesbian lawyers and gender activists. It aims to empower the local LGBT community by educating them with a basic legal understanding of their legal rights and acquainting them with the various legal structures and mechanisms. R-Rights collaborates with the Philippine Commission on Human Rights, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to incorporate LGBT issues into their programs and to ensure that the law and its institutions are not used as instruments of oppression and discrimination or to reinforce gender stereotypes. It aims to eliminate prejudice and violence by conducting in-depth legal and policy research and reviewing and analyzing them. Also, implementing legal reform measures and legislative campaigning as concrete tactics to advance LGBT rights.
