DJNRMHS, formerly known as Central Luzon Sanitarium, was founded in 1940 to provide care for patients with Hansen's disease over the whole Luzon region of the Philippines. It currently occupies 130 hectares (320 acres) of land, from the original 808 hectares (2,000 acres), in the Tala neighborhood of Caloocan City, Metro Manila.

With the support of AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Philippines, the community center Athena by LoveYourself along with the AHF Wellness Facility provides free sexual health services.

The clinic offers medical treatment to those who have HIV and other related ailments.
